My Story & Journey Til Now!
It all began when I was just a kid 👶, fascinated by my first personal computer 💻. I didn’t just use it 🤪 I opened it up, took it apart, and rebuilt it countless times.
That spark ✨ of curiosity ignited my passion for technology, setting me on a path 🫴 toward a future in IT.
College was a smooth ride 😒 until life threw me an unexpected curveball. I found myself in a tough place, battling personal challenges that left me feeling low 😔 and depressed. It wasn’t easy, but those experiences shaped me, taught me 💪resilience and perseverance.
Despite the challenges, I took my first step into the 😎 IT world as a IT administrator in my hometown 🏠. The pay wasn’t great, but I have no regrets. In fact, I see it as one of the best decisions of 🧬 my life. It allowed me to stay close to my family 👨👩👧👦 when they needed me the most. That time was valuable, and I was genuinely happy 😀
As my career progressed, I started looking for new opportunities. I applied to countless jobs, but no one called me for an interview. My past experience didn’t align with the roles I was aiming for, and unlike many others, I wasn’t willing to fake my credentials. But then, a break came, and I landed a job in Hyderabad.
That move changed everything. I stepped into a new culture 😀 and took on more responsibility than I had ever handled before. I became the sole person 🙎 responsible for 💻 IT support, 🔐 security, and team and maintaining a network for over 500 people across 🌍 two locations in the city. It was a challenge, but one that made me 💪stronger and broadened my shoulders, both literally and figuratively.
During interview, I experienced an appalling level of disrespect 😔. The interviewer not only threw my resume at me but also dismissed my worth with a 😶🌫️ callous remark: "Without any certifications, I don’t give a shit about you." This demeaning treatment left me deeply 💔 hurt and disheartened. Until this point I’had always believed that experience was enough to prove my worth, but in that moment, I realized that in the professional world, a 📜 piece of paper matters. So, I stood up, dusted 📖 myself off, and decided to pursue certifications.
Today, I’m an ISC2 Certified Cybersecurity Professional 📖 with certifications in Oracle Cloud and Fortigate firewalls, and I’m just getting 🏃♂️ started. Each new certification is a step forward, 🫷 pushing me to learn more, grow more, and become more.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you should never 🚫 stop. Life will throw challenges your way, 🏆 but you must push yourself to the max, 🏃♂️ no matter the circumstances.
And this is just the beginning 🏆!!
